Dan Halls of Jack Warwick Funeral Service completed the gruelling Fred Whitton Saddleback Challenge and rode the 112 mile event to raise funds for the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Charity. The event took place in the Cumbrian Lake District and included many of the toughest roads in the country including the climbs of Hardknott, Wrynose, Kirkand and Honister passes with gradients of up to 30%. In total 2,370 riders completed the event in beautiful sunshine. The elite riders finished the course in less than 6 and a half hours but Dan was satisfied to finish just inside his target time of 9 hours at 8 hours 58 minutes and raised £750 for Crazy Hats.
